Abi & Joel // South Kensington
5 years ago I asked my friend for a bit of dating advice. Abi laughed and said, “I don’t know why you’re asking me… I have absolutely no idea about relationships!”
1 year on from our conversation and - on her first day of settling into uni life - Abi meets Joel. ON. HER. FIRST. DAY. (The audacity!) It was wonderful watching my friend get to know the love of her life over the next few years in Southampton. Several cheeky Nando’s later and hearts full to the brim, Joel decides to pop the question.
Abi and Joel had been planning their wedding for a while. They’d had a couple of cancellations, a postponed party, and they really weren’t sure if this one would go through, especially considering the flip-flopping of lockdown restrictions. But: somehow, somewhere along the way, things started to go right. They booked another wedding date, and everything got approved. This would finally be the wedding they’d been dreaming of.
It was a beautiful day, with the sun shining and the rings shining and the ice cream melting(?!) Absolutely magical.
The ceremony was at HTB Queen’s Gate, South Kensington. The couple couldn’t have chosen a more stunning building as a backdrop for their promises to keep and protect each other for the rest of their lives.
Standing in that beautiful, 19th century church, surrounded by flowers and loved ones, was incredibly personal and intimate; I felt so honoured to be chosen to witness and capture these two very special people.
So here’s to Abi and Joel. Thank you for inviting me to be with you at your wedding. It was such a pleasure to share it, and to document the day so that you’ll be able to revisit it vividly for years to come. I wish you both the very best.
“I seriously can’t put into words just how much I love the pics!! Thank you so much!!!”
